FAQs
What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a pleasant, relaxed, yet focused state where your mind becomes more open to positive suggestions and change. It’s similar to being deeply engaged in a book, movie, or even while driving on autopilot. During hypnosis, you're fully aware and in control, but your subconscious mind is more receptive to new ideas, which can help you make lasting improvements in areas like stress, habits, and personal growth.
Is hypnotherapy safe?
Yes, hypnotherapy is completely safe when practiced by a trained professional. Hypnosis cannot make you do anything against your will, and you can come out of it anytime you choose. It’s a gentle, effective tool for positive change, with no harmful side effects.
What does it feel like to be hypnotized?
It feels peaceful and relaxing, similar to how you feel just before sleep. You stay aware while your body unwinds, allowing your mind to take in positive suggestions and support lasting change.
How does hypnotherapy work?
Hypnotherapy works by accessing the subconscious mind, where all our habits, emotions, and deeply rooted beliefs are stored. During the relaxed state of hypnosis, the hypnotherapist can help reframe limiting thoughts, process emotions, and introduce new, positive ways of thinking. Real change happens at the subconscious level.
Will I lose control during a session?
The image of people quacking like ducks or being controlled by a swinging watch—popularized by stage hypnosis in movies and TV—creates a misleading impression. In reality, hypnosis is a therapeutic process where you remain fully aware and in control.
How Long are sessions and how much do they cost?
Sessions last about one hour and cost $100. I also offer package deals for those committed to long-term change, providing savings. Please reach out, and we’ll find the best option for your needs.
What can hypnotherapy help with?
Hypnotherapy can assist with stress, anxiety, sleep problems, pain management, fears and phobias, habits like smoking, boosting confidence, and improving focus. It’s also useful for managing emotional eating and supporting personal growth. While it is never a substitute for medical care, it promotes mental and emotional well-being.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions needed depends on your specific goals and the issue you're addressing. Some clients experience noticeable improvements after just a few sessions, while others may benefit from more sessions to reinforce and deepen the changes. Generally, 3 to 5 sessions is a good starting point, but we can adjust the plan based on your individual progress.
Can I be hypnotized online or do I need to come in person?
Online sessions are just as effective and allow you to relax and experience transformation in the comfort of home. Currently, I only offer online hypnotherapy, but I plan to provide in-person sessions in the future. As long as you have a quiet space, headphones, a stable internet connection, and a comfortable place to sit or lie down, you can fully enjoy the benefits of hypnosis from anywhere. If you have pets, I also recommend making a plan so that they will not disturb you.
What can I expect during a session with you?
During a session, we’ll start with a conversation about your goals and any questions you may have. Then, I’ll guide you into a relaxed state where your mind becomes more open to positive suggestions. Using techniques customized to your needs, I’ll help you shift limiting beliefs, release unwanted patterns, and reinforce the changes you want to see in your life. By the end of the session, most clients feel refreshed, empowered, and more in tune with their goals.
